Hello my name is Jan and im from Holland. I drive an W210 e320 from 2000 and I have already found the forum to be a good source for information.
Maybe like all 210's I did a lot of work on it, for the first time (and if owned a lot of different cars) im committed to get everything working in the best possible way. Don't get me wrong im not perse an keep it standard kind of guy.
I have a workshop in Motorcycles and still like working on my 70s Shovel and low 80s Evo. The downside of the w210 is offcourse the many sensors and after a lot of miles crapy wiring (or maybe just because extra wire was to expensive and they kept it under to much tension).
I really like driving the E class because it has great power for a large car and I still love the looks of the big ship.
What did I do in the last couple of months:
- Normal service (brake pads / discs / shoes / bearings / oil / filters / etc)
- Extra stuff (new radiator / electric fan radiator (visco is 500,- in holland) / vacuum lines / hoses intercooler / repair a large portion of the cable connectors / Injector plates - rings / fuel lines / you get the picture.
Because of my workshop I have most tools but my HD EFI scanner didn't work for MB I bought different scanners and like the car soft for its basic features and I can take it with my when another sensors wants to fail.
Thank you for reading my intro and I like to say thanks for all you MB owners for sharing different info about your car.
Regards,
Jan
