It’s never been a problem with the hid’s lads, my insignia VX line didn’t come with xenons. But they’ve been fitted every year. The testers have no system in place to say if they were fitted from factory or not, if they’ve got projectors and beam image is okay then it’s not an issue

New from Mercedes the headlamps are around £1500 each, plus the fitting and coding.

Wot Blobcat said, yeah have a search on retrofitting headlights to various models! Many, many discussions on doing it, legality etc, you have to be very careful. For goodness sake don't resurrect any of the old posts or woe betide you haha . Serious note though, there are some excellent posts which are all well worth reading before spending any hard earned cash, and this is a great knowledgeable forum, put aside a few hours.... PS a new Hella OE 'active' Headlamp for mine is circa £550, my god I hope it never goes wrong!
