Thankyou Joe for your reply. Having looked at the access to the washer bottle sensor, have decided to take the action suggested by Alexander Foti and make sure that the new sensor is not faulty. Thankyou and I will update when I have got the answer......hopefully before 2024!!

Hello.... have had the coolant level warning symbol coming on for a few days,so replaced the sensor. Unfortunately the easy remedy has not worked
The warning is displayed only as the coolant temperature reaches normal , no sign when cold.
Having given a short run to get to normal temp and with...
thanks Blobcat and Jim2.....showing my ignorance....I have no idea where the reservoir is located, never having had this issue before. Can you guide me where to find it on this 2005/6 version?
Hoping someone can give me an idea of the possible problem and remedy for a steering issue, When the car is moved out of the garage in the morning and the steering put on approx half lock it sounds in pain....groaning ,moaning ,squeaking on either lock for a couple of minutes, then it disappears...
That is really good ,thorough information....many thanks.
In view of this advice I will keep a careful eye on the desulphation phase when charging and my other eye on deals to purchase a 14.8v max charger ....whether it be CTek with which I have had no issues or alternatives such as NOCO. The...

Thanx for the suggestion ....tried it and have moved the arm, in fact with my assistance I can get the arm to perform full sweeps back and forth. As soon as I stop assisting ,it stops in that position ie anywhere on its' arc.
Is that a sign of a motor problem rather than...

My 2006 E class estate has developed a fault on the rear wipers.
Having stopped mid sweep ,I cannot reposition it.
It doesn't work when in conjunction with the main wipers and reverse gear nor when the switch is activated....the red indicator light on the switch sometimes illuminates...
