Hi and welcome,
I'm afraid my knowledge, however limited, only applies to the previous model - W169.
Your A200 is W176, and is very different from my old A200 C169 coupé ...
Just had a look on my ancient WIS / EPC and it doesn't even cover the W176, or anything from Jan 2013 onwards.
It's two models behind my car, but yes, of course: a very similar "display album art" selection in the menu - tried on/off and anything in between  I do read manuals ... although the one I got with this car is 80% warnings of not touching hot surfaces and not sticking one's fingers into...
My (MBUX is it?) doesn't show any album art at all from the current USB, although when I tried a few different cards / flash drives in the first week after the car was delivered, it did show some pics ... so am pretty sure it just the matter of 'translating' my mp3 files (with no separate jpeg...
Deviating slightly - my apologies - how do I get the artwork displayed on my main screen: smart EQ 2020 Prime Exclusive?
It was perfectly fine in my old A200 with an Android head unit.
Just the standard mp3 files, recorded off iTunes on my MacBook Pro (all hidden duplicate files removed in...
Well, it couldn't have been me to say only release button and adapter cable required.
I suspect you would still have to buy a facelift handle from eBay, once you discover the marriage of old handle and new button is not watertight. As to the number plate lights: the plugs are different and...
The new release button will never fit into the pre-facelift tailgate handle.
You need to buy a facelift handle.
PS A new handle, complete with new type release button and new number plate lights, would have been not much more, than the release button on its own ... at least that was the case...
Yes, excellent decision to get a proper trim removal set - no matter how careful you might be with a screwdriver, it will leave a mark on plastic parts.
Oh, I see - it looks like two metal expanding symmetrical clips on the top and hooks in the middle - the whole things should just slide up with a help of a trim remover - ideally two - each side at the very bottom - between the carpet and the console.
Looking at the pic you posted (would be helpful to see all four sides), you can try this: stick two flat thin plastic trim removers between the top of the vents units and the trim, until the lugs release (similar to removing a CDC from a glove box, if you ever done that) - then just pull out ...
Not from personal experience, I'm afraid - never had a CLC o_O
The front ones on 169/245 are removed with this fancy pieces of wire, £15 from MB:
These go in either side, then turn to release the locking lugs. Could be something similar?
The replacement facelift handle fits exactly as the original one - you have to unscrew the bolts, then just pry it off with a plastic trim remover.
The prices at MB went up quite a bit in three years I see - I paid £8.70 for the cable and about £6 for the plugs / dowels.
The little plugs / inserts into the tailgate, to which handle is screwed on.
If you ask at MB parts department, they'll get them for you, as well as the adapter.
Yes, the original, pre-facelift tailgate handle / button is rubbish and the facelift tailgate handle is different, will fit fine and is much better - no more rubber membrane which detaches from base and lets water in, but a standard button used across many models of the period.
I have replaced...
Nice - I like the recessed screen design, much better than the older version.
So, you'll have everything built in, just plug your QuadLock in and off you go :)
The only port from connector C you'll need is RCA plug for reversing camera, the rest won't be required, as steering wheel controls...
Ah, my apologies - I assumed you're in the UK. In that case, of course, find a supplier with an Australian outlet - I'm sure there are many, or accept there might be a potential cost of sending stuff back to China - not as expensive as doing that from UK ;)
The pic was part of the unit...
