overflow

This may be a stupid question but is there an overflow on the washer fluid reservoir on the R170 SLKs? I was topping mine up today and as the fluid reached the neck and I stopped pouring, I then heard and saw the fluid draining from the back of the wheel arch. Not as much came out as went...
