Hi Greg,

Koolvin and Shude will probably wince and cringe as I say this  but... my car is stock, the only thing I've done to it is fit different style centre caps

to the alloy wheels.

Oh, my car :)

Ah ha, you have "top mod" (colour co-ordinated dust caps).

I too have these. They are black....

You can't beat chrome valve stems and caps, well worth the £15 or something for all 4

I can afford to mod because I'm single and I don't have any dependencies yet, 'cept for the car 'course ;) .

My mods have all been "justified" so far (well, stretching it a little bit!), my bumpers were slightly damaged (scratches and stone chips etc), my stock grill was faded and chipped, my door mirror sh*ll
s were scuffed and needed repainting etc, my wheels were only a pitiful 16" ;) and were scuffed and slightly corroded, all damage due to the previous owner I should add!  There was no excuse for the exhaust though, except that I had already replaced the front section/manifold because it was cracked(!) and that there is a little cutout moulded into the AMG rear valance which would have looked silly with two rusted up drinking-straw diameter tailpipes showing through it.

There is nothing wrong with my headlights, but they're going xenon soon anyway  .

Shude you need to lower that dune buggy!

I need to have my suspension looked at, the stealership warned me something needs replacing soon.  I fancy an H&R cup kit (only one available from H&R for my model year) which is new springs and shocks, with adjustable ride height.  Will get the stupid bush or whatever needs replacing done while having the springs and shocks installed, as the labour will be the same for the whole job.

the cup kit is harsh, get the normal H&R springs with uprated dampers.

I will have to get the 190e shims like you then, H&R only make the cup kit for 1996+ w202, according to their website.  Maybe I will get Eibach, I dunno, not decided yet :)

They look good on all mercs imho.  Get yourself to tyresave.co.uk and check out the merc wheels there, for everything including delivery and those chrome valves it came to about £1350.  I just took off the old wheels and put on the new ones, took me about two hours, including swapping the centrecaps.

Here's a pic of the chrome valves:

What, the pic of my car on their site?  I got nothing for it.  They did me a good deal on the wheels and tyres (about £100 less than another MB/BMW wheel specialist and about half the price of the stealership), I mailed 'em back with a "thanks" and included a pic which I said they could use on their site.  Lets face it, one look at the pic and they've sold another set of rims ;)
