036 voltage terminal 30 error

Good morning everyone.

My mercedes benz clk 220 cdi 2.1 coupe 2008 has thrown up a fault message whilst running a diagnostics of '036 voltage terminal 30'.
I would be very grateful if someone knows what this is. Am I correct to assume it is something to do with a break light?

The only thing I can add is
Terminal 30 is always LIVE when the battery is conected (regardless of the ignition switch) and
it should be the voltage of the battery.
