10-11 volts battery

Car won't start, battery was showing 10 volts. Used a charger went to 11 volts. Won't go higher

Needs a new battery ?

I would agree. That is an ex-battery. It has passed on, it is no more. It has ceased to be. It has shuffled off this mortal coil, kicked the bucket and joined the choir invisible.

Bear in mind the car did not start I think because of another fault. But still was only 11 volts

A car will not start or might not engage the starter motor at 11v.

Bear in mind the car did not start I think because of another fault. But still was only 11 volts
My other half's weekend warrior was down to 8-9V as she never uses it. A day and a half in the house on a battery conditioner managed to recover it.

Until she didn't use it again for another month! :-(
