My 500E W124 1994 c/w 223k mls passed its last MOT with 100% record on 16/03/06. The condition of the cats used to terrify me until I was told at the last test that the new VOSA data base allows the vehicle to have up to 3.0 ppm CO instead of the usual 0.3 ppm (10 times more smoke!!). They checked out at 0.31 ppm, which is astounding considering the mileage and abuse they have received.
