107 Central Locking Problem

When I unlock either door or the boot I can hear the pump in the boot running for about ten seconds. During this period I cannot lock either boot or doors, the key just w'nt turn. Once the pump stops running I can then lock everything, the pump starts running and I can't unlock until it stops.

Any ideas, for example how long should the pump run after unlocking. Also if the system does leak after being pressurised will it keep topping up and flatten the battery.

It is only when you lock or unlock that the air pump will run for 10 sec, it does not run on its own.

Has this just happened - or is it like this since youve had it...?

If the latter - almost souinds like the lock and unlock wires or pipes are the wrong way round...

Sounds about right to me, if you had a leak the pump would run for ages, the pump is just trying to finish one job while you are asking it to do another.

The pump will not start back up when the pressure drops, only when you operate the doors / boot lock again.
