107 Fuse Box

i have no dash lights or instrument lights?? please caould somebody let me know where the fuse box is? so i can check for a blown fuse.

on my 86 300 sl left hand drive it is on the right hand side of the passenger footwell!

it is on the right hand side on all of them

the dash light fuse is an 8 amp rating, the "old" torpedo type. This would be a good time to replace them all with new ones, and clean the contacts as well. You also need to be a certain type of contortionist to get down there.

Could also be a faulty rheostat

the rheostat is the switch used for dimming the dash lights. I don't know about your model but most mercs have a fuse at the back of the speedo
it is like a bulb holder coloured red could be this one that is causing the problem.

Do you know the speedo trip switch is also the dashlight switch on most models? Twist it.
