Does anyone know how to remove and replace the headrests in a 1986 500SL?

there is a secret button

just in line with the left hand steel strut, just where the "rolled" bit of the upholstery finishes on the seat back. Pull the headrest up until it stops, press the button, and then carry on pulling.
