107 Rear Child Car Seats

My wife has a 1989 300SL 107 and we have a 9 month old baby girl.
Does anyone know of a forward facing baby seat that will fit in the back of the SL?
I have spoken to SBS Quickfit and they can fit the high level anchor point needed, but the seat that we have (Mamas and Papas Protec) doesn't fit (it fits in my 911 but the angle of the seat and back works better).

I can't even get our Britax DUOs seats in the back with the driver's and passenger's seats in their normal position, and leave room for little kiddy feet. the problem is of course that the back seat in a 107( and a 129?) is already a kiddy seat (if you don't believe me, try sitting in it for half an hour) I think it will work fine with suitable booster seats and tables and a three-point belt, but really we have to wait until our kids are able to exploit that kind of set-up, and that means about 3-4 years old, if the nice man at SBS has his facts right. That's about the age they come out of the DUO shell and wings type seat and more into the booster type of set up.
It's the main reason I'm trying to sell the 500. Of course if no-one buys it, I'll end up having SL girls. The seats fit in the front ok, but the missus has to follow in one of the other cars with the other girl. Not very green really.

I kind of guessed that this was the case.
For the moment my wife has been drving around with the little one in the front seat. The baby thinks this is great as it gives her such a good view of everything around her. We went out in the 911 at the weekend and she was miserable, we put it down to her not being able to see much past the front seats.

all my girls love the front of the SL

but only the missus gets to drive it. I'm trying hard to work my way around the 2-3 year waiting time, as I'm quite keen on the SL myself. Get in touch with Britax, they are very helpful, and have a good website. Google might throw up some possibilities as well, you never know.
