107 rear seat side card pipe

I have removed one of the side cards which covers the rear window winding mechanism on my 1976 450SLC and noticed a blue plastic pipe about ø7mm which has an outlet in the door card. What is the function of such a beast? Can anyone help please?

I did not know I had central locking so this is probably a job for the weekend.

Does it have a little button on the door card? If so, it's the seat release (releases the vacuum in the seat so that they can be pushed forward)
