I want to put a CD changer in the boot, rather than in glovebox etc. as some suggest.
Does anyone know how to run a wire (signal / power) from the radio into the boot, without drilling holes etc? Hiding the cable in the interior of the car is relatively easy but getting it through into the boot itself is a challenge; there is no obvious way past or through the back seat area & hood compartment. Are there any other runs of wiring that I could add to, using the same route?

after a long and painfull head unit install :D

Hopefully you would have noticed that the floors pull out in most mercs. Under there you will see the looms of wires. You *should* be able to follows those throught. The back seat will come out depending on what model you have. In my 230e the wiring pases into the boot (for the speakers) on the passengers side. It was as easy as pushing the wires through where these wires were.

best of luck
