107 SL - Galvanised or not?

I know from buying a 107 in the past that the post 1986 cars are built with galvanised steel. The car I'm looking to but is a 1986 model, and as its on the border of the timeframe, I need to work out a 100% guaranteed way of checking whether its galvanised or not.

Anyone know how to do this, perhaps via the chassis number? Or do all the 'last facelift' models have galvanised steel?

Planning to make an offer on it this weekend!!!

As far as I know all face lift models are galvanised
