110cdi help!!!

i have just fitted new injectors in my 110 vito 1999 v reg
the problem is that now it is hard to start and it smokes badly on start up.
someone told me that the injectors might have to be programmed to the ecu but im not sure the other possibility is that i might have a duff injector even though they are new? has any one had a new injector that was faulty?

hi kxf250, check you have the the right wires on each injector, if incorrect gives these symptoms

but how can you get the wires the wrong why round i thought they only go on one why? if not how can you tell whtch why round is the right why?

yes its definatelly possible, we had one come in like it, it was just a case of 2 of the leads going to the injectors were twisted round each other and on wrong injectors, a silly mistake but took us ages to realise, worth a look
