Gentlemen, Ladies, with one car at a garage 25 miles away and the other 600 miles away I cannot check but in the former case the garage has just called informing me that the exhaust middle section that I supplied him does not fit. Is it the case that the 123 series 230CE coupes (same year) that the sections are different?
For those of you that remember and for those that are interested I stuck with oil in my drive joint cans and I feel confident and safer with it. What we are doing now is cutting the cans open with a fine saw and after cleaning, etc. we weld them back up and paint them. Works a treat and it's quick when changing the rubber boots. As my young son said - when he was very young - "Of course you shouldn't drink and drive as it dangerous not to have both hands on the steering wheel".
