Hello,i am new the MB forum,i hope someone can help,
my question is,i need to replace the rear left hand side drive shaft,
can i replace this from a 124 saloon from around the same year, would they be the same?,or does the donor drive shaft have to come from another estate,i think the estate is a bit wider at the back,
has anyone out there had to do this,
cheers

They are not the same your drive shaft start could start with with 210,, or 129 for the multi valve engine and the cars 124 but the good news is that the earlier estates use the same axle

To be safe I would ask MB for the part number of yours and then use this site and look at the 124's to see what others have the same part number

http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb0.asp?TP=1

All of the links open after BM and go to rear axle

Hi Malcolm,
yes they had to jump start it,they said the pressure had gone down?,maybe it was just the battery though, as for locks one by one with master key,is there a vacuum pump for locks?and where is that located or separate battery or reset button, thanks for all your help,
dave

Hi Malcolm,
thanks for the quick reply,
what am i looking for in terms of fixing vacuum, replacing vacuum or fuse or loose conections?i know you can't tell me exactly with out seeing it,anything usual for this,as for the sunroof,i need a new set of lift arms and roof is closed tight which will make it hard to get the headliner off in one good piece,
cheers
Dave
