124 230ce exhaust

Hi, the exhaust system on my 1990 230ce needs replacing, the cost of a MB system seems very high so I was thinking of using one from Bosal, does any one have any experience of these or any other alternatives?

I bought a pre cat one for my 230TE and have had no problems, that was a year ago.

thanks for that I take it that you were refering to a bosal system, if so how much was it and where did you purchase it.

My local independant strongly advised me against a pattern exhaust.

He said I would have it removed within a month, too noisy and tinny sounding.

I bought genuine, and it sounds like a Mercedes should

I know you can order direct from bosal on-line, can't remember line though, very cheap compared to other on-line suppliers; I've just replaced my back box from eurocarparts.co.uk for £55. Amazing compared to my local motorfactors quote of £178!!!

i have purchased from eurocarparts in the past,they usually have 2 qualities-the one to go for is the top spec one-you will save pounds compared to the
dealer and the quality tends to be very good as well
