hi. i have a 1990 300ce 124.

when starting from cold or engine not having ran for 10 plus minutes car is difficult to start. requires pumping of accelerator before it starts to fire up, but even then will some times run with a bit of a misfire until accelerator is pressed again.

i have replaced the distributor cap and rotary arm, with mercedes parts. this solved problem for a day, but then it returned again.

if the car has been driven for a distance then is restarted again it is even worse to start.

if anyone has any idea's i would be greatful

Us either atf or injector cleaner as it sounds like your fuel system is clogged.

Or faulty engine temperature sensor sender or faulty / stuck cold start valve.

I think that on the last one it was the rotory Idle valve, I could be wrong

Your engine is prone to leaky injectors at high millege or age, fairly cheap from euro parts, its a possibility.
