My headlamp wiper arms are a bit tatty. Does the part come as one bit with the blade or are they seperate?
There is a single arm on eBay which looks different to the type on my car?

Why not take yours off and clean them up, the blades do come off, then spray them Matt Black a little lubrication and they will be like new. fit new blades.

As we are on this note, I need new covers, as the guy had some work done on the car previous to me buying it and they snapped the plastic on both of the wipers on the headlights.....
can the black plastic covers be bought seperate or will i need to get the whole arm????

There are two different types of wiper arm for R129s - if you have code 600 (headlamp cleaning equipment) then you'll need a different part to the normal wipers. 600 was a standard fitment for code 617 (assymetrical Xenon headlamps) - the arms are A1298201744/1844 for left/right - the blades are seperate parts again. Wiper arms are £23 + VAT .

Raj what covers are you referring to? You can buy the end caps (round covers A12982400497007) seperately - the arms themselves come as one part.

When I spoke to Raj before,it is the ones over the fixing nut.

I saw that one - I've had to replace one of mine recently but it was the other type I needed. I think the blades are £10 each as well or something silly.

the ones on my car are not a smooth casing like the one on ebay which is the same part number you put up. I wonder if they have been changed

It's possible unless you have the alternative headlamp cleaning system like this:

Hi Stats
Yes thats the type I have but I don't have the Xenons, strange. I checked the russian site and it juts has a generic 600 code and piture like Malcolm suggested Assymetrical hweadlamp washers.

The russian site is quite old and doesn't contain the full set of parts diagrams or up to date part numbers - though perfectly useable for most things. It also won't list specific options based on your VIN where the EPC will.

It's possible the headlamp cleaning was changed to the Xenon version as all run-out models had Xenons anyway - though still an option in 2000.

At least these ones are cheaper!

The halogen equipped cars above Malcolm's have the alternate wiper version.

Jury may be out for a while on the blue car...
