You must be referring the the post 95 with the electronic ignition, is this correct or is it a 066,067,068

Yes Malc, 92 i think, no voltage to the idle control valve, tick over all over the place.

One side of the plug goes to the air con controler inside the car, the other breaks of to about 5 different points into the engine loom!

Do not over look the MAF, its a hot film type that really affects Idle.

The fuel pressure regulator can leak in the diaphragm, = rough idle

Rotary idle valves measure 12 ohm between 1 & 2, & 2 & 3

With 12 volts applied briefly they buzz when they are OK

Cheers Malc, the main fault with the tickover is no voltage to the idle control valve if that helps at all!!

Yes its KE5 on that car the ignition is EZL-AKR


And fault code details

I will try and find the wiring diagram for the N3 and that should give you the info that you need.

I was so wound up last night with all of the post I did, I did not go to sleep before 4am, another load on benzworld as well
