i have the opportunity to replace the speedo head from a breaker as my oddometer has given up i have taken it to bits twice but found nothing that looks suspecti assumed that because the speedo works fine the fault must be with the oddometer unit itself it is the earlier mechanical oddometer and does not appear to have any direct drive from the speedo and looks to pick up it,s connection separately from the pcb.The price of the speedo head is £50 inc £10 delivery I would welcome any advice on the subject and guidance it takes me ages to strip the speedo down so I dont want to waste my time or money but £50 does not seem bad if it cures the problem assuming I can set the mileage mine has only got 55k [one bonus of it giving up] thanks mark
