Can anyone tell me if there are any problems in fitting 15" steel wheels on a W108.
I'm looking to improve both ground clearance and to get longer gearing since I'm preparing the car for a long distance endurance rally

Thanks

The diameter of the tyres stays the same irrespective of the size of the actual wheel, you could fit tyres with a higher profile on the wheels that you have but the car will be going faster than the speedo shows

Wouldn't I get bigger diameter types on 15" rims?

I'm not too worried about the speedo since we've got a separate terra trip

Thanks

Apologies. I missed this email if yours. No I'm not the 356 Mike from Essex but yes I do have a 356 (in Kent)
