164 Stiffer Suspension Upgrade

Hi All,
I love my 2009 ML164 to bits... foibles and all. However, on long country jaunts down A and B roads my passengers are made very uncomfortable by the constant swaying dipping and general "boat-like" performance of the suspension. I know 3-1/2 tons and a high centre of gravity are pretty difficult to control but I would just like to know if there are any suspension mods I can look at to stiffen her up a bit. Its standard spec. 164 suspension (not air) on 20" Pirelli shod alloys at filler-cap-recommended tyre pressures. Thanks in advance.

I would definitely consider 18” or 19” wheels. I notice a big difference the 19’s on my 420 vs the 20’s on the wife’s 320.

You can look at the anti-roll bars and upgrade / replace all the bushes - problem is the vehicle, slow down or buy a sports car

Or get a W163, they have hardly any suspension at all

Thanks Blobcat, actually the slower I go, the worse it is. So I use it like a sports car just to even things out a little!
I guess what I am really looking for is a specialist shop for suspension upgrades.

Thicker ARB's and stiffer springs / shocks would be the way to go

See if H&R do a spring kit for it
