Most MBs are approved for both symmetrical and staggered fitments.
This is detailed within the handbook.
You could possibly fit 19" rims, but only with a reduced profile, by the same token increasing the width will also require a lowering in profile.
When adding wider wheels and tyres care must be taken in selecting those wheels with the correct offset and tyres of the correct width and profile to prevent rubbing against either suspension or bodywork. Remember that suspension geometry and tyre shape changes once being driven.

Staggered sets normally have rear rims up to 1" wider than fronts, but on a C class probably a maximum 8.5J with an increased offset over the front.
Tyres - 225/40 R18 and 245/35 R18 or 255/35 R18 at a guess.
Not sure about 19" rims now that I think on it, that would be a really low profile.

You can fit up to 8J on the front and 9J on the rear of a W204 C Class in either 18 or 19" diameter.
The correct offsets are ET45 front, ET54 rear.
Look on alloywheelsdirect website for correct tyre fitment.

My 204 on 17's is crashy enough on staggered 17's and the torrid state of our roads, personally I would not think of 18's, and 19's I'd want dental insurance for teeth problems and medical insurance for back problems as well as a deep wallet for tyre prices (and re-welding cracked rims or replacing them)! However, I am glad I changed the as bought 16's for 17's as that reduced the wallowing without compromising the ride quality. If you must have bigger rims, I would say do not go to 19's!!

You can just change the rears to wider profile staying on 18” wheels, or change all four to 19”. I am not sure what you will gain from this apart from cosmetic look.
My E350CDI is on 18” with wider rears & summer tyres. My winter tyres are on 17” wheel, all being the same size & narrow than the 18” wheels. I much prefer the ride of the 17” wheels, & I have not noticed any loss in grip.
I have done the same with the wife’s SLC250d.
