My front discs are warped to hell and i'm going to put some new ones on at the weekend. My question is, how easy is it to change the solid discs i have for vented 2.6 Jobie's? Will the vented discs fit straight on and the caliper sliders take up the extra width?(I'm guessing that's a "NO"!!) Do i have to change the calipers as well or can i fit spacers??

Any info would be very much appreciated .

I now have the answer. 2.6 calipers needed to do the job :-|

might need a brake master cylinder change as well - if the calipers for the 2.6 have larger diameter pistons then this will increase the pedal travel before the brakes apply fully

I replaced my discs on my R170 with Black Diamond cross drilled and grooved (£150) apart from looking good they stop well.

What the **** are you doing to warp discs??? If it is some form of competition then you ought to fit something from Brembo or AP Racing for megabucks. Any other use and you need an anchor to throw out!!
