Hello all, my first post! please bear with me.
after trawling through the archives I've achieved some results regarding bad starting/tickover with this vehicle. However there are some small points I would like to clarify,
1. On turning on ign. the triangle gives a quick flash and stays off.
2. The ABS light originally stayed on but was rectified by replacing fuse on OVP relay. This in turn puts on the ASD light. Removing second fuse on OVD puts out the light but messes up the tickover.
3. Throttle position switch is OK but does it noticably do anything?
4. Amongst the various temp sensors on head is one with vacuum pipes, what is this for?
5.Will the absence of a fuel filler cap have any effect on general running ? apart from foreign matter of course.
Hope I've made things clear and that someone can help.
Oh whats &apm I keep seeing in posts?
BoB.

Buy a fuel filler cap. They are not expensive. It's a pressurised system so not having the cap will have some adverse effect I think.

I'd change the OVP relay for a new one and see if that sorts out the other issues.
