190 diesel keeps running on

any clues? the god of Haynes recons the "stop solenoid" by MB dealer says "pish yer car disnae hae wan"

shut off is via a vac pod . the dealer is correct. check your vac to the shut off pod if the vav is OK replace the pod

190 running on....

tried to but cant get at the offside nut. Have no idea what the "cylindrical" bit is on the top of the pump and how to remove it. Theres a 29mm nut underneath it but that just turns forever. Any suggestions and cheers for the reply.
