hi i've got a 1990 190e 2.0 petrol and the heater does not seem to get very warm, so far i have flushed the matrix and its clear and i have also replaced the thermostat, the car runs at normal operating temp 80-90 and stays there. is there any common problems with the 190 models. i have also got a loud creak when steering and over bumps i think its coming from the lower front ball joint is this another common problem ?.

My brother ended up replacing the matrix in his and worked fine for a couple of months, now back to cold air again. Checked dampers valves engine temp etc. It has to be something simple but till this day hasnt solved it. Bought a C class.
Sorry no help here, just curious.
Regards
Mike

It may be a faulty control valve, it is located to the divers side of the heater motor make sure the valve is opening fully or even remove the pipes from the valve & join them together and give that a try. If you now have heat replace the valve.
