After much investigation about how to remove the rear view mirror, I found out that it was the traditional ****** hard yank

This took the thing off fine, but now I need to get it back on?

Any ideas? The spring lock think just seems too tough, there must be a technique.

cheers in advange

It's a nightmare to put back on!

Hook one side up and using a screwdriver push the pointed end in until it half catches, then quickly remove the screwdriver and push up.

Sometimes you get it first time, other times you have to walk away after a while and come back to it when you calm down

Bazza,

Thanks for that mate. I thought that would be it, but was hoping I was just being stupid.

The problem is, I always stab myself when using a screwdriver like that. Ah well, better get some elastoplast.

Cheers buddy.
