190 service manual?? - Looking for service manual for merc 1

Hi all, Looking for either a service manual or a CD based service manual I can use on the computer

If anyone has one to sell or doesn't need anymore or if anyone can point me in the right direction i'd be most grateful

The Haynes manual for the 190 is pretty good, i got one at Halfords.

Hi Matt, I've already got one of those, and it covers most things but it doesn't cover the sunroof, thats why I wanted a service manual, I think they're a little more detailed than the haynes books.

I can put my hand to most things and from what I've read on this forum I think that; although the sunroof is tricky, it's not beyond my abilities. I just need to know the procedure, and I don't like to start a job unless I've read up on it first.

Hi Lee...

i take it you have got the electric sunroof in your 190? Has it come adrift inside? as ive read a couple of posts recently on this.

Ive got the manual roof unfortunatly (or fortunatly, however you want to look at it!)

press search at the top of the page and enter sunroof-may be you will get some answers

Hi Sunil and Matt, Got the electric version nice when it works. yes I think it has come loose or something like that, but I don't know how they work, so I'm just guessing!

Sunil, tried the sunroof search and got 4 posts including mine. One gave me hope that it can be done DIY, that's why I am asking for a service manual so I have a detailed explanation; well better than the Haynes manual, which is "leave it to the Merc Garage"
Unfortunately I have just spent in excess of £600 changing all the braking system and suspension gear and if i have to take it to the merc garage again who knows what it will cost?
To be honest if that's the case I may as well go and buy a £4000 merc and be done with it :-( but this little gem has character and I don't think I could sell it now.

Not quite given it a name yet lol!

Ps: If anyone else is having this type of problem the post that started me on this path was posted by a user called   kl   if you search under author you'll find it, title is electric sunroof.
Just thought i'd cross reference it
