190d 2.5 fuel filling problem

New to MB, new to this site, both I find excellent. Six day ago I bought my 1992 190d 2.5, it's a great car in excellent condition, the only inital problem was with the electric ariel, but that's been sorted-all is OK. However I have found when trying to fill with fuel the fillinf pump cuts out all the time (as if the tank is full). Is this a general thing or do I have a problem? has anyone any suggestions please. welcome roy,
mine does it all the time its a knack thing.... I find twisting the nozzle slightly so its sideways helps.. be carefull not to force it, you dont want to damage the filler neck.

This is normal with the 190 nothing to worry about.You will get used to it.
