Hi all
I am new to this and only just bought my `91 2.0ltr 190E.It`s a manual, got 76.600 miles on the clock, and with decent but not full service historie. Please forgive me if there already is a thread about this which I havent spotted. My problem is that the car can be difficult to start,I have to leave my foot off the accelerator till it starts and then slowly open up the accelerator. Before I drive off the idle speed is ok,but as soon as I drive off and come to stop the next time, the idle speed sits at approx 1100 rpm.I have heard about a idle speed air valve. If this is the problem, where do I find it and what do I do when I find it?

Thanks for that.Have had a look, and it does not look as if there is a voltage protection box(sorry, first time owing a Merc and not a mechanic)I have been lead to believe that it should be situated near the battery, but cannot find anything.
