About to take the plunge and invest in a 1990 2.5-16, 173k but main dealer history until 123k and then John Haynes thereafter, bills/invoices for in excess of 10k over the last four years incl:

Top end rebuild
New rear shocks
Reskimmed discs and new pads
Complete fuel injection system
Rear diff

Apparently the current owner is not mechanically minded and has had an open cheque book policy with John Haynes

Paying £4,400 - does this sound reasonable

sounds like its been in heavy use but not that bad the merc was designed for that, priced a little high but that depends where you live, hes not mechanicaly minded that not a good thing means the car hasnt been maintained well regarless of what hes spent on it, give it a real good looking over and i mean the lot, reciepts i can give you many but idle eyes when buying something at that prices will cost you so be carefull
