190E 2.6 ASD (auto locking diff)light on

The ASD light has just come on-and stays on! The hand book says to take to an MB dealer but any has anyone any ideas before that. It maybe coincidental but the dashboard electrics(fuel,oil pressure,water temp guages) went to sleep as this happened but fuse wasn't burnt out-just cleaned the terminals and the guages now work.

Hello John,a little searching on this next week may show something up,,see what I can find. In the meantime I would get a good non drying switch cleaner and clean all of the fuses and holders
