I've read some of the questions and answers on alloy wheels for 190e's on this and other forums but am just getting so confused!!

I've got an '86 190e - recently completely resprayed and looking good, but what I really want are some 15 holed 15" alloys which you see on 190's, sls, 124's etc etc...which I presume were a fairly standard extra when the cars were built. U'll have to forgive me though if I've got the wrong size!

I've had absolutely no luck from part sources from the Mercedes Benz Enthusiast magazine (and forgive me if any of u work for them) but the companies i did try were down right uninterested!!

Is it really that difficult to find some alloys for my 190e?

And..i'm also checking ebay all the time!

Please help!

Welcome to the forum.

I'd get 16"s myself rather than the 15"s. Ebay is your best bet. You should be able to pick up a clean complete set of eight or fifteen's holes *with tyres* for around the £200-£250 mark.

Personally I think the 15 holes look a little dated compared to the 8's but eitherway, you shouldnt have a problem finding a set pretty quickly if you keep your eyes on ebay.

A couple of examples for ya

This is what I'd be tempted by :)

190e alloys

Spike,

Thanks very much for reply. I do agree, the 15 holed ones are a little dated and perhaps plain but don't know why, I just prefer them!

Will keep my little eyes on ebay!! 8)

Thanks again Spike

If you like the look of those and chose your tyres carefully you can get a set of 16" wheels from an early SL(R129). These are the wheels fitted to the 190E 'EVO 1' and can be fitted to a stock 190.
They are the same design as the 15" versions and sometimes appear on E-Bay
