190E auto 2.0ltr J reg

I have a 190e J reg auto it has suddenly started to go straight up the gears very quickly & has stopped the kicking down but does go back to first when you stop no difference in sports mode, also works fine manually changing gear have checked the cable that leads to the carb/throtle any ideas

When was the atf last changed?

It has been changed since the problem has occured

Do check the vacuum pipes are all intact and not split or leaking
