Hi all. I have just achieved a long term ambition and bought a 1992 190E, it's a 1.8 auto with 85K and it's just lovely, it is really as I hoped.

One issue though, it will not give any warm air, I get plenty of cold but no hot at all. I have checked the fuses and they are fine, also the head is ok, so no blown head. Any ideas? My mechanical knowledge is limited so I hope someone out there can help me as I have a long drive soon and it's very cold!!

Hmm...a few gueses!

1) the heater matrix (core), is it getting any hot water?

2) The duo valve may be shot. Its behind the firewall on the drivers side and maybe its shut all the time.

Mike.
