HELP!!

I've got a G - reg 190e 2.0i which runs fine.

However, when it's idling (which is not low - about 900 > 1000rpm) and the electric fan cuts in, it causes the engine to dip and cut out.

Has anyone got any ideas?

The fan might be using a lot of electricity and hence starving the plugs.Just an idea.

Darren,
I think its an electrical magnetic clutch on your fan, when the engine reaches a specific temp the sensor cuts in the clutch hence turning the fan and putting extra load on the engine. Perhaps she is idling to low, what revs is it at when hot?
Regards
Mike

It would be worth taking a plug out and see whether it stops making sparks whenever the engine stalls.

Hi Darren, one poss is the magetic fan coil insulation break'thro hence drawing hi current causing heavier load on your engine whilst at idle it cud stall it.
