I've recently bought my first Mercedes, a 190E 2.6 auto. 80k miles with full history, leather etc and am very pleased with it. Two questions for you, firstly the car has 7J alloys and sits lower than most 190's I see, the handbook refers to sports suspension with these wheels. What exactly is this sports suspension and what should I look for if in the future I need to replace springs and/or shocks(the car definitely doesn't need lowering!)
Secondly, is it possible to retrofit air con to the car? Any views?
Thanks
Roger

hello, looks and sounds like a nice one you'v got, low miles, good colour! I own the same spec car - 93 2.6 manual, with the sportline sus on from factory, they ware the 205 55 r15 rubber as standard on the 7j rims.

Thas what your car has the factory option for sportline sus, you can call up the dealer who sold the car and give them the chassis No, they we'll send you the original spec on your car.

about fittin air con to the 190 i dont have a clue!
