Advice sort on why can't you swop over a worn-out drivers seat with the passenger seat?
The seats seem to be the same dimensions; the height adj looks if it can be dismantled;
the back & forward handles look the same; the seat belt fittings should swoppable;
its just the back rest adjustment that might proove a problem

Any views or commnets most welcomed

The vehicle in question 190e 1993MY no electrics just manual seats

i have swopped over the covers it's a time consuming job but it can be done fairly easy as long as there is no armrest (there's a hole)

Tried to do the same on my seats the other day and the problem was the trim that covers the hing point between seat and back rest. They are not interchangeable due to rake adjuster wheel, unless I was being a complete baffoon (possible). I managed to preserve my seat by slipping a piece of iron on mender for fabric ( the sort of thing that you can hem trousers with by using just an iron) under the seat cover to help keep the threads together don`t forget to watch out for plastic trim when using the iron on the edge.
