When I aquired the MB190e from the previous owner(a non-mechanic), he warned me that he had been told that "one of the track rod nuts was not original, and any pot hole could easily upset the tracking."
Sure enough, since running across the farmyard pot holes I now have a severe wheel wobble at 50 - 60 mph.
Although I realise there is the possibility that I've lost a wheel weight, I thought a photo check on the tracking components would be a simple and good thing.
Attached are the pics, along with the relevant russian cat page, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to have got one of each of the two types on the cat pages(ringed).
I can see that the information passed on to the previous owner might have been wrong, and coming from someone who wasn't aware of the two types.
However, I may still be wrong on that.
Was there a problem with one type that was superceeded by the other, and if so which is the later type ?
Are the various components available separately, and would an indie have them ?
(I'm not a million miles from one in Dereham, Norfolk who seems to have a good reputation)
Thanks in advance for any and all advice.
John

Thank you Malcolm. That's the offside wheel which is giving the wobble.
I presume the easiest( and probably cheapest) option is to replace the complete track rod on that side ?

The tracking will have to be re done after you fit the new one, its wont normally
fix a wobble or balance shake the wheel could be buckled, jack it and give it a spin

 Horrors. But I hope not, as it was ok on the 300 mile journey back to Norfolk, and I'm not wont to drive faster than 10mph round the farm.
But thanks for the tip anyway.

Thanks for the link beemerjay. The bearings are ok, but that site has a branch fairly close, so it's going to be useful.
