Among all that millennia of experience out there does any body know how to remove an o/s rear electric window mechanism when the motor has jammed with the window closed? The cable is slack on the downside of the window carrier and as tight as a violin string on the other side of the carrier. With the window shut I can't seem to gain access to the carrier at the bottom of the glass in order disconnect the mechanism. Tried the motor with a separate 12v supply connected directly to the door terminal block to isolate the switches/relays and it worked for a couple of times after and then jammed, so I think it must be the gearbox. Thanks in advance.

Try giving the motor a clout while operating it downwards, watch fingers.

Joe,
Clout duly administered, with the desired result. Thanks.
