Our 350sl has been laid up for two years whilst we replaced the bulkhead and inner wings etc. Now painted we have rebuilt her. The engine starts, but we are missing on several cylinders. We have cleaned the injectors. The osciloscope shows 8 good ignition patterns and we have good compressions. New spark plugs etc have been fitted.
Can any body please advise on how to proceed from here? The engine seems to fire on more cylinders as the engine speed rises up.

I would have said make sure the fuel pump and filter are working well, its a good place to start, after a long lay up.

Thanks Alan

Alan, its the early electric type, injecting directly over/near inlet valves, and a great big brain box over passenger footwell. The CO etc can still be adjusted by adjusting the brain, but injectors are in trouble. Can you overhaul these injectors for me?
Cheers

oh god ,yes! i know the type ,****** great hole in the end of the ecu which in itself is loooooong!!
i can repair them too,but would need the pressure regulater too.
i will find out about the injecters, in the meantime my website is now up n running.
i think its called "d jetronic"
guy, i have just got off the phone to my man wha says if its the ecu then he will repair, for £380 as with all hfm and pms ecu`s the injectors can be serviced (they suffer with leaks from the casing) if this is not the case recon injectors £39 per injector let me know the part number and i can go from there

It could be vacuum problem.Have you checked the inlet manifold or air box for leaks? I used to have a similar problem on Triumphs I owned. Rev it up and all was well.Turned out to be air locks in the injectors.

I go along with you on this one, I think it is all minor problems and its a matter of bringing it back to life.
