Hi,

Just in time for the warm weather and before I've had a chance to remove my hardtop, the heat selector on the driver's side has jammed open. The selector switch's movement is restricted as a result of this and I wondered if anyone could advise me on how to get into it to fix it.

I have removed the driver's side undertray and tightented the screws there but the problem seems to be further up and back.

I guess the mechanism has become disengaged somewhere along the line but don't know whether I can access it from inside the car or outside.

Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

Maybe irrelevant but on my 124 some clever sod passed the wires from a radio/cassete through the panel that covers the heat controls - the wires jammed in the gubbins of the dash and jammed the heater controls.
