1983 280 SL drivers side sunvisor.

My hamfisted wife has managed to break the flimsy plastic insert which holds the sunvisor in position,as this is an integral part of the visor has any kind person a solution to fix it or does it require a new visor.

I presume that you refer to the little plastic tongue. My understanding is that these are not available -there was a move some years back in the States to manufacture them but I dont know the outcome- you might try..............

who break 107s. Matching your colour might not be so easy as will fitting it. There is a screw or two under the padding on the screen top which I think has to be removed. Is there no way you can glue the bits you have?
These people have a good range of colours but they are €159 + post from Germany. Good company to deal with though.

Take it out the wifes allowance:roll:

Or there is a DIY fix but you'd have to be really handy with a drill and file and not be worried about authenticity.

Thanks very much ,it is the plastic tongue and rather than attacking it with a drill and file I'll expolore your other options.
