1986 200T Estate Advice needed on resevoir in engine bay

Hi - I have just got hold of a 1986 200 estate. Over the weekend I was checking out the fluid levels and came across a round silver container with a black rubber lid that unscrews, its half filled with an oily substance and is located on the right side of the engine bay. I didnt get any manuals with the car and wondered if anyone can advise me what fluid I should be putting into the container.

Power steering reservoir.

Fill with ATF (automatic trans fluid) - reservoir should be full, but keep level about 2cm below top.

Thanks - what about the one on the left hand side towards the front of the engine bay marked hydraulic fluid - is this for the power steering as well?

The power-steering reservoir is located on the front right hand side of the engine near the distributor (there should be a pulley connected).

The silver container on the right hand at the rear of the engine is the oil filter.

I think the other container, possibly not connected to the engine, is the reservoir for the hydro-pneumatic rear suspension.

The one marked 'hydraulic fluid' is for the self-levelling rear suspension.

This reservoir has a plastic dipstick and should only be 3/4 full - but you need to check the oil level when the rear of the car has no load, i.e. no luggage in boot and no passengers.
