Hi all, weather's looking good don't you think?
My granddad, bless him, is considering selling his 1988 (F) 230CE. He can only drive in the day due to eyesight issues and the car has only covered around 600 miles between MoTs for the past few years.
I believe it is a 1989 MY (it has the deeper lower body mouldings), it is black metallic with tan leather. No air con. Alloy wheels.
It has now completed around 88,000 miles with a partial service history. He bought it when it was 3 years old.
Before I bought mine, I considered it myself and I still might buy it.
We decided between us that it would be in the region of £1,000 to £2,000, probably settling on a compromise of £1,500.
Although not a mint example, I would describe it as good to above average in general.
Would this seem like a reasonable sum? I'm popping round his in the next few days so I can take pics.
Oh, and does the year make it a W124?
Many thanks
Toby.
